The photo on the left, taken from the Philippine Daily Inquirer website, illustrates the saying that in politics there are no permanent enemies only permanent interest.
Why do I say so? Well look closely at the photo. From left-right: Convicted plunderer former President Joseph "Erap" Ejercito Estrada Jr., former Vice-President Teofisto Guigona, former President Corazon Aquino and Makati Mayor Jejomar Binay.
If you must know, Guigona was the one who initiated the impeachment of Erap. Cory was one of the leaders of Edsa Dos asking for Erap to step down which he did. Now look at them aren't they all look cozy with each others company?
These kind of people are the ones making the Filipinos loose faith in the country's future. What kind of leaders has this country have left? Where in the world can you find a convicted but recently pardoned plunderer out partying and showing no remorse for his action. Before he was pardoned he was as meek as a lamb but now he is out, he is back to being a bully. Poor Philippines for having a stupid sitting President. In what she sees as one way of holding on to power, the President quickly pardoned her predecessor, who was convicted of plunder that took six years to prosecute, in the guise of national healing.
If she would step down as the opposition are calling for her resignation, who would lead this impoverish country? Those bozos on the picture? If you think this country is in deep trouble now, think again.
